The spacious Lienz main square, a meeting place for young and old (which is reserved for pedestrians from the beginning of June to the end of September) is a sea of flowers and palms, showing the mediterrianien influence. The houses with their coloured fronts, the street cafe's and the small shops all exhibit a southern Flair. There are only 13,000 inhabitants in this small city, and you can find almost anything the heart desires.
