On beautiful summer days you will find hundreds of biking enthusiasts at the train station in Lienz, who will get on the specially adapted bike train to Silian. Before they got to there they had a wonderful bike ride, along the Drau, through the Osttirol Pustertal taking in the amazing scenery and visiting the sites along the way.
Bike lovers can also go fuirther along the Drau valley in the direction of Kärnten, and along the Isel Valley towards Matrei.
Particularly ambitious bike enthusiasts will find the Pustertaler Höhenstraße (route of the Giro d’Italia 1994 and Giro del Trentino 1997) or the Klamml-Joch (Mountain Bike route in Defereggental) very interesting. The biking opportunities are continually improving.
Osttirol can be enjoyed in both the valley and the mountain. In both cases exhibits wonderful, unspoiled landscape, and also a guaranteed level of service. Good sign-posting allows easy navigation and stops you getting lost.
